A large adult gorilla sits alongside another adult holding a tiny infant clinging to its back, and all three animals chew on leafy branches. Giant areas of broad back fur and rounded shoulders accept fast strokes from pastel markers, while tiny leaf veins demand careful control with a pointed pencil. Try shading the fur with deep charcoal gray and coloring the snack branches in vibrant spring green. Frame the completed portrait to display inside a science classroom studying rainforest habitats.
