The best AI coloring page generators: 9 tested
We made pages on every site ourselves in October 2026. Scores are for making your own pages only.
TL;DR
ColorBliss (8/10) makes the best pages and has the most editing tools, but suits regular users on a plan. ColoringPageDream.com (our site, 8/10) is the simplest: one credit a page on one-off packs that never expire, and you can use the pages however you like. Canva (7/10) gives crisp results with no options, and iColoring (7/10) is a well-rounded generator on a plan; ColoringBook.ai (7/10) suits sellers on its bigger plans. ColorifyAI (6/10) has the most AI tools but a fiddly site. For free, SuperColoring works with no account — slowly.

The reviews
Clean pages from a typed idea or a photo, simple style choices, and low-cost one-off credits — no subscription, no expiry, and you can use the pages however you like.
- Price per page:
- $0.05–0.10 (1 credit a page)
- Free to try:
- 1 page without an account; 3 in all with a free account
What we liked
- Style picked from 8 named chips — no AI models or settings to understand.
- The first page needs no account.
- Up to 30 pages in one go from a single description — a whole set on one theme — or 20 photos at once.
- About $0.05–0.10 a page on one-off packs, with no subscription — and credits never expire.
- Use the pages however you like, including selling them, with no paid plan — most sites here want $30–50 a month for that.
- Turn your pages into a printed coloring book, posted to you.
What let it down
- No subscription, so heavy users making hundreds of pages a month can pay less per page on a big plan elsewhere (about $0.02 at the top end).
- Fewer extras than the biggest AI sites (no word art, color-by-number or list of different prompts at once).
- Downloads carry a small ColoringPageDream.com mark in the corner.
Best for: A few great pages without a subscription
Make a coloring page2. ColorBliss
8/10The best page quality we saw and the most tools — but busy for a casual user, and the price per page takes working out.
- Price per page:
- Fast (1 credit) $0.02–0.04 on plans, $0.04–0.05 on packs; high quality (10 credits) $0.20–0.36 on plans, $0.40–0.50 on packs
- Free to try:
- 12 credits with an account
What we liked
- The best page quality in our tests; fast pages were good too.
- Lots of styles and touch-up tools: text, frames, upscale, background removal, color-by-number.
- PNG, PDF and SVG downloads.
- Bulk mode for up to 50 prompts or photos on higher plans; prints books too.
What let it down
- Busy: small style thumbnails, and the main button sits below the fold.
- The fast/high-quality choice isn’t explained; high quality costs 10 credits.
- Packs, plans and rollover make the real price per page hard to work out.
- Downloads carry a watermark on the Starter and Hobby plans; it’s removed only from the $35/month Artist plan.
- Its pages suited older kids and adults more than toddlers.
Best for: Regular creators and sellers
3. Canva
7/10The simplest tool here and a clean, crisp result — but no styles or options, and it’s one small part of a design app.
- Price per page:
- About $0.09 a page if all 200 AI uses on the $18/month plan go on coloring pages (they’re shared with Canva’s other AI tools)
- Free to try:
- 20 AI uses a month on the free plan (shared across all Canva AI tools)
What we liked
- The simplest interface here — upload and go.
- A clean, crisp, very satisfactory page.
- Download it, or keep editing it in Canva’s design editor.
- Generous if you use Canva anyway: the free plan’s 20 AI uses a month cover every Canva AI tool.
What let it down
- No customisation: no styles, detail level or sizes.
- No batch — one page at a time.
- AI uses are shared with all of Canva’s other AI tools.
Best for: People who already use Canva
4. iColoring
7/10A functional generator that works well, with sensible options and no watermarks on any plan — aimed more at grown-ups than casual or young users.
- Price per page:
- Standard model (2 credits) $0.033–0.067; default and premium models (3 credits) $0.05–0.10
- Free to try:
- 6 credits
What we liked
- Works well: three models, style, size and an "Inspire me" button for ideas.
- About 25 seconds a page, and the result was satisfactory.
- PDF or PNG downloads, with no watermark.
- 6 free credits to try it; 20% of unused credits roll over.
What let it down
- Subscription only, and commercial use only from $39.99/month.
- Every model costs 2–3 credits a page, so the cheapest plan works out at about $0.067–0.10 a page.
- The online coloring app is very basic and not very user-friendly.
- Its free pages are a mixed bag — some too detailed or heavily shaded to color.
- More for grown-ups than young or casual users.
Best for: Grown-up hobbyists and regular creators
5. ColoringBook.ai
7/10Good, clear pages and a nice set of options without overload, plus batch mode for sellers on bigger plans — let down by a sign-up before your first page, clunky screens and pricey credit packs.
- Price per page:
- $0.02–0.10 on plans; $0.08–0.25 on packs (1 credit a standard page)
- Free to try:
- 4 credits a month
What we liked
- Photo or text, difficulty levels and sizes — options without overload.
- Batch mode on the $39.99 plan: paste several prompts and get them all at once.
- 4 free credits a month.
What let it down
- You sign up before your first page, then land on a different generator screen.
- Clunky, with sideways scrolling.
- Credit packs run about $0.20 a page at $20 and expire after a year.
- Subscription credits don’t roll over; commercial use only from $39.99/month; free pages carry a watermark.
Best for: Sellers making pages in bulk
6. ColorifyAI
6/10More AI tools than anyone and good results — but an amateurish, fiddly site, Google-only sign-in, and you have to pick an AI model.
- Price per page:
- Basic model (1 credit) $0.03–0.04 on plans, $0.05–0.06 on packs; better models (3 credits) $0.08–0.12 on plans, $0.15–0.17 on packs
- Free to try:
- Basic pages free; downloads need Google sign-in
What we liked
- The widest range of AI tools we saw.
- Photo pages were clean and good for coloring; basic pages are free to try.
- Sensible options for complexity and style without too many choices.
What let it down
- Asks which AI model to use (e.g. Seedream) — meaningless to most people.
- Small text, mixed fonts, sideways scrolling; tools open in new tabs.
- Sign-in is Google only.
- A basic page took 15–20 seconds; better models cost 3 credits.
Best for: People who want every AI tool in one place
7. GenColor
5/10Simple, flexible and two pictures per request — but we solved 10 CAPTCHAs to see our result, it took about a minute, and the pages were too detailed.
- Price per page:
- About $0.055 a request (2 pictures, so $0.028 each) on the $9.90 plan; as low as $0.02 a request ($0.01 each) if you pay $99.90/month
- Free to try:
- 2 credits without an account
What we liked
- Everything on one page — no sideways scrolling.
- Simple but flexible: background removal and a few settings.
- Two variations per request; batch generation and upscale on the $49.90 plan.
- 2 free credits with no account; 40% off if you pay yearly.
What let it down
- As a free user we had to solve 10 Google CAPTCHAs before we could see our page.
- About a minute to make a page from a photo.
- Too much detail for a coloring page, and the example pages weren’t appealing.
- Commercial use only from $49.90/month, and the $9.90 plan keeps a watermark.
Best for: Batch-making pages on the $49.90 plan
8. coloring.app
5/10Good photo pages and a huge gallery — but typed ideas failed for us twice, and it’s one of the dearest per page.
- Price per page:
- Typed idea (1 credit) $0.25–0.45 on plans, $0.50 on packs; photo (2 credits) $0.50–0.90 on plans, $1.00 on packs
- Free to try:
- 3 credits a week with a free account
What we liked
- Photo to coloring page worked well, with useful options.
- Thousands of ready-made gallery pages to remix or color online.
- 3 free credits every week.
What let it down
- Making a page from a typed idea failed twice for us (the credit was refunded).
- The dearest per page here: 50¢ a credit on packs, and a photo costs 2 credits ($1.00).
- Watermark removal and commercial use only on the $45/month plan.
- A plain, uninspiring interface.
Best for: People who also want ready-made gallery pages
9. SuperColoring
4/10Completely free with no account, and you can use the pages commercially — but very slow, and the pages were basic.
- Price per page:
- Free
- Free to try:
- Everything, no account
What we liked
- Free, with no account or credits.
- Commercial use of the pages is allowed.
- A very simple, easy interface.
What let it down
- Slow: the site quotes about 79 seconds for a typed idea and 112 for a photo.
- Basic results: grey outlines, borders too thick and black, not very engaging.
- No style or detail options.
Best for: Trying AI pages for free
How we tested
In October 2026 we used each generator as a parent, teacher or hobbyist would: signed up where asked, made pages from typed ideas or photos, tried the options, downloaded the results and worked out the real price per page from each site's packs and plans. We scored each one out of 10 on page quality (clean lines, areas big enough to color), ease of use, speed, free tries and price, and what you're allowed to do with the pages.
Photo-to-coloring-page tools are only touched on here; we tested them in the best custom coloring book from photos. For free printable pages, see the best free coloring sites. Prices change, so check the site before you pay.
Disclosure: we run ColoringPageDream.com, and it's in this test. We've described every site — ours included — from what we saw using it. ColoringPageDream.com is a coloring site with free printable coloring pages, free online coloring, an AI coloring page generator and custom coloring books printed on demand. See our brand facts.
Questions
- What is the best AI coloring page generator?
- In our October 2026 test, ColoringPageDream.com (our own site) and ColorBliss tied at 8/10. ColorBliss had the best page quality and the most tools, on a plan or large credit packs; ColoringPageDream.com was the simplest, on one-off credits that never expire, with no limits on how you use the pages. Canva, iColoring and ColoringBook.ai (7/10) followed: Canva for its crisp, no-fuss results, iColoring for a well-rounded generator, and ColoringBook.ai for good pages with batch mode.
- Is there a free AI coloring page generator?
- SuperColoring is completely free with no account, but slow and basic. Canva's free plan includes 20 AI uses a month, ColorifyAI's basic model is free to try, and ColoringPageDream.com (1 page without an account, 3 in all with one), ColorBliss (12 credits), iColoring (6), ColoringBook.ai (4 a month), coloring.app (3 a week) and GenColor (2) give free credits.
- How much does an AI coloring page cost?
- On one-off packs, with no subscription: ColoringPageDream.com $0.05–0.10, ColorBliss $0.04–0.05 fast or $0.40–0.50 high quality, ColorifyAI $0.05–0.06 basic or $0.15–0.17 for a better model, ColoringBook.ai $0.08–0.25, and coloring.app $0.50 from a typed idea or $1.00 from a photo. Monthly plans get cheaper if you use every credit: from about $0.10 a page on ColoringBook.ai's $9.99 plan and $0.067–0.10 on iColoring's, down to about $0.02 on the $99 plans.
- Can I sell AI coloring pages I make?
- On ColoringPageDream.com and SuperColoring, yes, with no paid plan. Elsewhere it takes a bigger plan: ColorifyAI from $29.90/month, ColorBliss from $35, ColoringBook.ai and iColoring from $39.99, coloring.app on its $45 plan and GenColor from $49.90.
- Can AI turn a photo into a coloring page?
- Yes — every generator here can. We compared the photo tools, and the sites that print a book from your photos, in our test of the best custom coloring book from photos.
