A cheerful butterfly rests upon the textured center disk of a giant sunflower with long petals and two leaves on its stem. Wide petals and broad leaves accommodate rapid fills from large markers, but the delicate insect antennae demand patient work with a sharp colored pencil. Try painting the petals in bright golden yellow and the butterfly wings in soft lavender with dark spots. Cut out the completed floral motif to decorate a handmade spring greeting card.
