An adult bison and a tiny calf walk side by side through a patch of tall grass and leafy plants. Colorists will find that broad markers fill the massive bodies quickly, whereas the thin horns and slender hooves benefit from the precision of a sharpened pencil. Try using dark brown for the shaggy coats and bright green for the surrounding vegetation. Children can tell a prairie adventure story about the two animal friends after finishing the colors.
