A friendly cartoon tyrannosaurus rex stands upright with a wide smile, stubby arms, and three-toed feet against a blank background. Young children holding large wax markers can easily color the broad torso and thick legs, though the tiny claws require careful attention with a pointed pencil. Try shading the prehistoric body in various tones of grey and filling the open background with bright yellow sunlight. Cut out the finished dinosaur to use as a fun character piece in a storytelling activity.
