A cheerful elf with a feathered cap rides on the back of a soaring winged reindeer, pointing forward into the sky while holding reins attached to the animal harness. Broad sections like the reindeer flanks and wings welcome soft wax pastels, whereas the narrow feather on the elf hat calls for a pointed colored pencil. Try using bright red for the elf jacket and soft brown for the flying deer. Mount the completed holiday scene on blue construction paper to make a seasonal wall decoration.
