A wooden soldier stands upright on a rectangular base wearing a tall hat, a decorated jacket with looped braids, tall boots, and a sheathed sword resting against his leg. Wide trousers and broad jacket sections accept standard markers with ease, but the tiny jacket loops and small star emblem require a sharp colored pencil. Shade the uniform jacket bright red and the tall hat dark blue with a golden star. Cut out the finished soldier figure to stand on a mantelpiece during winter celebrations.
