A procession of villagers carries small candles along a cobblestone street beneath hanging paper lanterns and star-shaped pinatas, framed by large poinsettia plants in the foreground. Soft pastels cover the wide flower petals without trouble, but the tiny facial expressions and narrow lantern tassels demand a sharp colored pencil. Deep red shades suit the poinsettia bracts, and bright yellows fill the star points. Turn the completed winter artwork into a festive holiday greeting card mailed to a distant relative.
