A happy young child stands upright while holding a wooden spool that controls a diamond kite floating overhead with ribbon bows on its tail. Broad spaces across the shirt and shorts suit fast strokes from thick markers, though the narrow ribbon tails demand a precise colored pencil. Paint the kite panels in bright yellow and blue, and color the two bows with a contrasting red shade. Children can cut out the finished character to use as a puppet for telling outdoor adventure stories.
