An old-fashioned lantern holds a burning candle surrounded by evergreen pine branches, while a bright shooting star trails light in the upper corner. Rapid marker sweeps easily cover the wide glass walls, but the tiny round berries demand a sharp colored pencil. Shade the candle yellow and paint the pine needles dark green for a festive winter mood. Fold the completed composition down the middle to mail as a greeting card to a grandparent during December.
Did you spot the small round handle on the side of the lantern door?
