A tall stone monument displays a memorial plaque and a cross, accompanied by a small flag and a large wreath of poppy flowers resting on the stepped base. Standard wax crayons fill the broad stone blocks easily, but the small centers of every individual flower require a sharp colored pencil. Color the stone structure in cool grays and the flowers in bright crimson red with dark centers. Fold the finished creation in half to mail a thoughtful note of gratitude to a military family.
Did you spot the small flag flying behind the top of the monument?
