A patchwork quilt layout displays twenty-five square blocks featuring stars, flowers, and geometric patterns surrounded by a gridded border and a folded corner showing polka dots. The broad open petals of the flower blocks suit a soft wax crayon, whereas the tiny triangles inside the star patterns call for a sharp colored pencil. Color the flower petals bright red and the star points sunny yellow to create contrast. Use the completed design as a colorful cover for a homemade winter sewing journal.
Did you spot the dotted pattern on the folded corner?
