A dense cluster of open poppy blossoms features ruffled petals surrounded by curling acanthus leaves and rounded seed pods. Broad expanses of petal shapes accept wax markers easily, whereas the tiny dotted centers call for a sharp colored pencil. Crimson and scarlet shades look striking on the floral petals, contrasted with pale green seed pods and dark stems. Cut out the completed design to mount on a handmade journal cover.
