A circular mandala features a central disc surrounded by overlapping petals and scalloped outer bands filled with smaller rings. Colorists need a sharpened colored pencil to shade the narrow gaps between the concentric shapes and tiny circular dots. Try using bright yellow for the central disc and alternate shades of blue and purple for the surrounding petals. Cut out the finished circle to use as a colorful paper coaster during a summer party.
