A runner dives headfirst toward home plate, kicking up a large cloud of dust as the catcher reaches out with a glove. Broad areas of the uniform and ground suit soft pastels, whereas the grid pattern on the catcher mask demands a precise colored pencil. Color the dust cloud in soft gray and the helmets in dark blue. Cut out the finished player figures to tell a fast-paced sports story.
